From Hobby to Trackless Train Manufacturer

A Love of Trains

As a trackless train manufacturer, I’ve always been around trains, since as a boy my father’s hobby of model railroading introduced me to the magic of railroading. After dismantling his vast model layout due to a move to the country, he took it to the next level- he built a 1/4 scale locomotive that ran on rails. It was an amazing thing, and he was invited to run it in many of the local events and festivals, always making a big hit with kids young and old.

.Combined with my hobby of wood and metalworking, I decided to continue the tradition and built a railed train myself. I ran it for two years in local festivals, but the burden of hauling and setting up track was just too much. It was then I decided to try building a relatively authentic trackless train, and a trackless train manufacturer was born..

My tracked train consisted of a 100′x50′ oval of 18″ gauge track.

Trackless Trains: From Hobby to Business

It wasn’t long after doing some searching on the internet that I noticed the price of many quality trackless train rides made them impractical to buy as a business income opportunity for most people.

I decided to design and build a train that could be kept within what I considered to be the margin of price that would allow as short of a return on investment as possible, yet not compromise the important aspects that add to the realism of a train. The result is what you see on this website.

Along with the fun of operating one in our local area during the summer months, I deeply enjoy the process of hand-building a fine quality trackless train for others to enjoy as well.

I wish you the best of luck in your ride ventures and thank you for your interest.
