Our electric conversion trains are powered by a 48-volt electric motor and offer the advantages of high ground clearance and wide tires for outdoor operation with clean electric power for indoor applications. Batteries are housed in the coal tender and can be charged separately from the locomotive. 6-8 hour run times are typical, depending upon load, terrain and driving style. Extra coal tenders can be purchased to offer unlimited run time. Color options also available.
